Oh, Hi There...

.
This is my sentence to start this post. I haven't posted anything of substance in a long time now, and being that I have actual, guilt free time on my hands, I figured I should put something together. I should point out that it takes me for fucking ever to write a post... I over think things and I get stuck very easily as I am writing... Now you may be thinking "But Chris, your posts are so juvenile, and filled with grammatical and basic sentence structure errors...? It still takes you this long to put posts of this quality together?" The answer is yes...

Enough of that now...

The main reason I haven't been keeping up with things lately was that I was doing my first year electrical classes the last 8 weeks.

It kept me pretty busy with homework and studying. At the start of the course they give you all your work for the 8 weeks all at once, so it feels very overwhelming. Two 3'' binders of electrical theory, a Canadian Electrical Code book, and a sufficiently thick lab manual... For anyone who knows me, you'll know that I have very poor, to almost zero time management skills... So I had a hard time wrapping my head around how much work I should have done, or how much I need to get done in the allotted 8 weeks. And this brings me to why I never posted anything. Anytime I thought I had some free time, I felt guilty if I spent it on here blogging, or anything computer related... Even though if I wasn't on here, I would have probably been watching TV...

But I am done all of that! I wrote (and passed) my provincial exam on Tuesday morning, officially making me a 2nd year electrician!

With my newly gained accolades, I will be starting a new job at a different company in the next few days.

I have been working at Neu Lite for the past year and a half or so, but I have grown pretty sick of wiring houses, and have no desire to be a residential journeymen... So a change was in order. I got a gig at Apex Power & Automation. They are a smaller company that does a lot of commercial work, and do a lot of programmable controls, and automation systems. I hope to get some experience in different areas of the trade, and hopefully see some interesting stuff... They have the contract with the Elk Valley Coal Mines in BC, so that will be a whole different ball game out there. And of course they pay better... HAHA.

So I'm done school, and just relaxing for a few days.

Point form? Yeah, I'm tired...

- Still loving the truck, and now gas is damn near free I don't cringe so much when I put a little meat on the peddle... Which reminds me... I have a speeding ticket to pay for still...

- I won a Sony CD Boom box with iPod dock in the Cash & Cars lottery today... It's no $1,000,000.00 Koenigsegg CXX... But it will do

- I watched my first High Definition Victoria's Secret Fashion show the other day... Wow...

- I got my passport ready for Cuba and had a good trip up to Calgary getting it.

- The RR is up on it's stands and put away for the winter

- Annnnnd I'm just rambling now, so I'll leave it at that. Bedtime.

PS:

Erika, I hope this will keep you busy for a couple minutes ;)
