Stock vs. RT-One

I finally got it, and finally got it installed.
Here is the before and after videos of my exhaust.
I love it!

NOTE: My digital camera mic does not do either pipe justice. It has to be heard in person to get the true sound.

Just a couple shots of my new pipe...

As you can tell, I am pretty excited about my new toy :D

Requiem For A Dream

.

Mozart - Summer Overture

This will make anything dramatic... Trust me.

EDIT: This composure will also make you feel as though you are in a movie scene, while you're riding your sport bike, and it makes you ride faster and faster. Just a heads up...

Shout Out

.
As I was coming home today after work, I was driving down Red Crow when I turned the corner, and saw a sign made of plywood that had "Slo down - Cops ahead" quickly spray painted on it, propped up against a old van on the side of the road. I took note and slowed down, then gave a quick honk to the 3 guys sitting in lawn chairs on their front lawn drinking beer! HAHA! They raised their cans and I waved back. I thought it was awesome. Just 3 dudes helping everyone else driving home out with a little warming. And that sign that those guys made completely fucked that speed trap over, because every single car heading in that direction would have seen the sign about half a block before the cops saw them. Genius!

So I just wanted to thank those 3 guys. Kudos guys! You probably saved me from another 100 dollar speeding ticket!

I bort uh lappy off da internetz

.
Coach Z...? No? Alright then...

Yeah, I bought a new laptop! (woo!)

I have wanted one for quite some time now... After having one for so long for school it was hard going without (I had to give my old one back to the college when my first year was done...), as I was used to the amenities having one offered. But it was really just a need/want situation... so I continued on with just my desktop.

I had been using my sisters a lot around the house, and I began to start wanting one again. So I went down to Future Shop and had a look at some of them, and also was hunting around on the internet, but again decided against it...

Until I got a raise! (Woo for that as well. I'm pretty stoked about it... was going to blog about it... but thought a side note in a post like this one would do just as good... )

I decided that as a gift to myself I would go ahead and shell out for a new laptop. And that is exactly what I did...

I got a Toshiba Satellite A300 15.4'' laptop.

I am very impressed with it so far. Not much to say other than that... I've only been using it for a day, and right now I'm just trying to adjust to using a new OS. Not too sure about this Windows Vista business...

Here are some specs and shots of it:

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit.

Optical Drive: DVD SuperMulti Dual Layer Drive 8X

Notebook Weight: 2.72 kg

I also picked up a wireless mouse as well, because I hate using laptop touch pads...

I got the Logitech VX Nano.

I picked this mouse for a few reason. 1) It was Logitech. ALL of my computer devices are Logitech, and I love them. They also stand behind everything they make. Highly recommended... 2) It was small, sleek and comfortable, but the real selling point was the USB receiver. It's so tiny! Look at that thing! I can leave it in and forget about it and not have to remove it when I put it in my laptop bag. I think it's awesome.

Tiny ass USB receiver.

Receiver vs. a dime

EDIT: I have been informed that the imagine above is in fact a nickel, and not a dime...

Jardine Performance RT-1 Carbon Fiber Slip-On Exhaust System

.
That's right! I finally bite the bullet and ordered an exhaust system for the RR, and I'm so pumped! I went with Jardine Performance RT-1 dual outlet carbon fiber slip-on system.

I absolutely love the way this pipe looks! One of the best out there for the CBR in my opinion. The dual outlet just tops it all off. The can itself is constructed of carbon fiber. Making it extremely light and strong. I love the way carbon fiber looks, and hope to do more with it on the bike, so having a carbon fiber can was an obvious choice.

As far as performance goes, the RT-1 is going to shave off about 6Lbs from the bike, add about 5 horsepower, and make it sound a hell of a lot louder!!! The RT-1 is open baffle to allow maximum airflow from the engine, with in turn makes the exhaust loud, and leaves me grinning from ear to ear! (Those stats don't sound huge, but keep in mind that you are taking 6 pounds off and adding 5 HP to a 300 pound bike that has more horsepower than most small cars on the road)

Anyway, I'm very excited about it, and can't wait to get in installed and fire it up for the first time. It's will be like starting it for the first time all over again!

Here it is. My Jardine RT-1!
