The All American Rejects - Move Along

"Move Along"

Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking
When you fall everyone stands
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking
With the life held in your
Hands are shaking cold
These hands are meant to hold

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
Move along

So a day when you've lost yourself completely
Could be a night when your life ends
Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving
All the pain held in your
Hands are shaking cold
Your hands are mine to hold

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)

When everything is wrong, we move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong, we move along
Along, along, along

When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
[x3]

(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
Right back what is wrong
We move along

...

completely broken...

"So over"

Hope? Hope is for fucking suckers. All it does is raise you up, just to be smashed back into the ground. Everything I have hoped for in the last 2 months hasn't happened, or even gotten close to happening. So FUCK hope, FUCK caring, and FUCK everything...

Sick

So I am sick and I feel like crap. I contribute this sickness I have aquirered to the lack, or absense of sleep this past week. I as I had midterms and assignments due, so they took precedence over sleep. Also, being out 'till 3 in the morning at the Roadhouse probably didn't help matters either. However...I digress. I remembered when I was sick last year while I was living at my Aunt and Uncle's, my aunt suggested that I try using the humidifier while I sleep. I found that it worked quite well and I slept better with it on. So I went and bought one at London Drugs today... The Bionaire Digital Cool Moisture. I just set it up, turned it on, and now I am going to go to bed and test it out! So... Goodnight.

OEM Honda Rear Seat Cowl

On the Thanksgivining weekend, I won my eBay bid on a Honda OEM rear seat cowl for my CBR600RR. I thought eBay would be the best way to get a cowl, seeing how MSRP for one through Honda is $240.00. It turns out that with the exchange, shipping, and brokerage fees It was a marginal difference.

I slapped it on as soon as I got home, and it looks great. Here are some pictures.

"Get your tickets here!"

So about 2 weeks ago I was looking on Ticketmaster for shows that were coming to Lethbridge and area, and I noticed that Billy Talents was coming. First off, I was impressed that they even included Lethbridge on their Canadian tour and didn't just skip it and go straight to Calgary, and I was even more impressed when I saw who was with them! Rise Against, Anti-Flag and Moneen! Now, I have seen all of these bands before (With the exception of Moneen) but it was at Warped Tour. From what I have heard, you cannot compare a Warped show to a show on a tour. None the less, at Warped Tour Billy Talent and Anti-Flag rocked the crowd and put on awesome shows! And when I saw Rise Against, I didn't know any of their songs, I was tired and wanted to go home...so I did not enjoy them at the time.

So I was going to purchase tickets as soon as I saw they were on ticketmaster...but they didn't go on sale until October 14th, but I was in Calgary on the 14th, and neglected to buy them while I was there. I then tried to get some when I got home...but they were sold out by that time... :@. I was pissed...but could not do anything about it...Until today!

While sitting through a lecture on how to write a proper technical memo...Jordan found out that the City of Lethbridge and been allotted a certain amount of tickets. Now, he was in the same boat I was and did not have tickets, but wanted to see the show. So he whipped out his Mastercard, laid down $100 bucks and got 2 tickets! I through 50 bucks at him, and now we are on our way to Billy Talent, Anti-Flag, Rise Against and Moneen on January 23rd!!! I must say it was a good end to a shitty day.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparutus

About 3 months ago, while Kendra and I were watching TV, I heard a song I liked on Much... All I could remember about the band was that they had an odd name and that I really liked the song. I didn't download it or do much else with it until Thanksgiving weekend when I was driving around with Mitch and Kent. Mitch played a song that he said I would like...and low and behold, it was the song I had heard on Much. It turns out the band was The Red Jumpsuit Apparutus. I now love them. They are a great band with great lyrics. So if you know me, and know the kind of music I like, check these guys out. Enjoy!

Here is their site and some Plyrics:

Birthday Weekend in Calgary

On Friday, October 13th, It was my 19th birthday, and to celebrate, I drove up to Calgary to kick it with everyone up there. Friday after class I packed up my sweet police-like Ford Taurus renter I had for the weekend and took off for Calgary. This was my first time driving solo to Calgary, so I had my reservations about getting there...and it turns out, I was right to be worried about it. My printed out Google Map directions only served me so well... I ended up missing a turn because on an accident on Anderson Rd... and I ended up so far off in the fucking boonies. If I recall right I ended up in a cul de sac named Evergreen Butte... :S So, being the proud male I am, I decided I would just take it upon myself to figure out where the fuck I needed to go and not call anyone for directions. After about an hour of missed turns, one way streets and rather nervous driving, I spotted U of C road signs...which guided me safely to Mitch's apartment. I then unpacked, met Mitchell's roommate Claire then we all went to the movie Employee of the Month with Dane Cook. After we went out for a few drinks and wings, then called it a night. Saturday was awesome! And it started as good as it ended. I was awoken by Adam hitting me with a door and yelling "Time to get the up you fuckers!" We had decided that it would be a good idea to pack 5 guys into Daltons Dodge Shadow (Which he bought solely to come to Calgary with Matt this weekend) and take a quick detour to Banff for the day. So we took off and jammed out to Dalton mini boombox he had for a stereo all the way there. Upon arrival, we had absolutely no plan. We walked around, then decided to go on a gondola ride...but after seeing the steep price/person we ditched that idea and opted for picture taking at Bow Falls instead. That night was genius! Mitch, Adam, Claire and Tegan had planned to have a party in their apartment...and had invited over half of Calgary to it... So we pumped tunes, drank our faces off, and had a kick ass time. At the start of the night, Adam took in upon himself to take me to my first strip club. So Adam, Dalton, Matt, and myself, bit the bullet; paid the cover charge and bought 6 dollar beers and watched naked chicks dance around... enough said. We headed back shortly after...

I knew no one at the party except SAIT people (Who I pretty much hung out with the whole time) and Mitch and Adam...But none the less...I had a great time. As the night went on, we decided to take off to a bar... So Mitch, Dalton, Erika, Rebecca and myself fucked off to Moose's and drank even more, ate peanuts, then...get this, THROUGH THE SHELLS ON THE FLOOR! After that we went back to the apartment... I got grumpy, yelled at some people, did and said some stupid things then passed out. It was an awesome night. That morning, I ate then took off. Met up with J - Rad for abit, then came home.

All in all, It was a great birthday, and I will be back in Calgary shortly!

Here are some pictures from our Banff excursion and from the party later that night...Enjoy.

This is how everything looked Saturday night...

That is Dalton and Adam...FYI

That's Scott...I don't know him... but I have a picture of him.

Welcome

Hey everyone. Welcome to my new blog! I recently decided to create a blog for a way for me to keep in touch with everyone back home and everyone away at school. I plan mainly on posting about what's going on with me and my life... Insight of recent events, I thought this would be the best plan of action. MSN only goes so far and only can get a point across so hard... As you can see I have added a few things to the blog already. Take notice to the personal profile (It's a real gas) , my Moblog pictures, Flickr pictures and also a few links to a couple of sites I frequent. Of course, I have a few shout outs to Mitch, Kent and Jumo's sites as well! Anyway, thought that I'd say Hey, and welcome everyone (If anyone) to my blog. Enjoy!

Cheers,
Chris.
