Ultimate Setup

As I stated earlier, I am bored out of my mind... I kept busy today with stuff downtown, and working on my computer, but for tonight...I had nothing. Being that my sister is staying over at our place until Christmas, and she was just as bored as I was, she suggested watching a movie. So I said I would go burn MI3 and we could watch that. So after the DVD was done, we popped it in and started watching. We got about 50 minutes or so into the movie, when the Bose decided it no longer wanted to read the disk... I tried everything to get around it, as it was only happening at certain parts...but It was happening too frequently so I decided to give up. Now, we were just getting to the point in a movie where it's getting exciting, and you want to know how it is going to end...So I thought to myself "Well...the movie is still on my computer. We could watch that way...OR!" And with that thought, the Ultimate Setup was born! I had been drinking (Yeah, we made some Pina Coladas WHAT?) and went off on a tangent. I hooked my computer up (Via the S-Video out on the old 9600 XT) to our 45'' Plasma TV. I followed that by hooking up my old Altec Lansing 5.1's for audio... The movie was back up in no time, and I was as happy as could be. It's not everyday that you get to "compute" on a 4 foot wide monitor! The whole thing was a pretty big waste of time, but it's pretty cool, and I will be spending the rest of my night having fun with it. Time for some Battlefield!

Edit

I have shit all to do here...and I got bored, so I played with Photoshop today. I don't really know how to use it...but this is what I came up with.

Not bad for not knowing what I was doing. It's simple and was pretty easy once I figured a few things out. And yes, I realize it's been done before...many times, but I like it : )

Editor's Pick!

So I got an e-mail from Textamerica telling me that one of my pictures from my moblog has been selected as an Editor's Pick for "Featured Image" of the day. It doesn't mean anything really, other than the fact that I got my picture posted to Textamerica's home page...But it is pretty neat. The picture wasn't anything special, just one I snapped of Garret, Aidan and Kelli at the keg party we had the other night. It's nothing huge, but I think it's pretty cool, and it made my day! : ) But this all comes at a rather crappy time, being that unless you upgrade your moblog account to the $99.99 USD premium account before December 31st, your account gets deleted... So the days of textamerica are soon coming to an end for me.

Done!

The first semester of the year is officially over! It has been along time coming, but it's finally done. I wrote my Physics and Calculus finals today, which were my last 2 exams. Calc went well...Physics...not so much. Anything over a 60% is an A to me! I could give a shit what I get, as long as it's a pass.

The day was just a shit-show though. It started with a 7 AM wake up call...which is mega-gay when you go to bed at 4 in the morning. After a quick shower, and bowl of cereal, I was out the door to the college. I wanted to find out where the lecture theatre was before the exam...because I had never been there before. Physics was up first, at 9:00. The 6 question beast took me 3 1/2 hours to "finish". After about a 5 minute break, I was back into the same seat to start up the Calculus which was starting at 1:00. I buzzed through that one in a slick 2 1/2 hours. After all was said and done I was sitting in that fucking desk 6 hours doing the stupidest calculations you can think of. Who cares how much force it takes to pull a 65 Kg weight up a surface that has a coefficient of friction of .55 using a series of pulleys?!

Marks are the last thing on my mind right now. I am just so pumped to be finished. Now I can do things like get a full nights sleep.... and shave, and start bringing the stress level down a notch. Now I am pumped for Christmas and seeing people I haven't seen in awhile, and of course the presents (Santa don't disappoint ;) )

Anyway, It's time to let loose... The "Engineering Club" (If you make a club that has something to do with the college, you get free pizza and bunch of other shit) has got 3 kegs of British Columbia's finest on route to Jordan and Matt's dorm, and I believe I shall become ever so inebriated tonight. Fun Fun.

Have a good one, I know I will!

Sad Day

Yesterday was I driving home from class, and I had to roll my window down because I was getting too hot...I didn't even have the heat on and I wasn't wearing a jacket... The Jeep told me it was +13. It was nice and sunny (Still windy mind you) but it was insane weather for December. So when I got home I decided to "de-winterize" my bike, as I have seen dozens of other riders do the same. Luckily I got side tracked, and only got has far as getting my battery from downstairs because this is what I woke up to this morning...:( I guess it was going to come sooner or later...

Music Chris Likes

Mitch/Adam turned me onto Story of the Year a little while back, and their songs have been growing more and more on me. They are better than a picture of Taylor Hanson wet... If you haven't heard them, go illegally download some of their songs.

Todays favorite:

Story of the Year - Anthem Of Our Dying Day

*** I, Chris Widdifield, do not condone or take part in...umm illegal media downloading...I'm just puttin' it out there.***

The Dog Cave

Today, while I was in the shower, my dog (Rascal) who is part Terrier, part Cocker Spaniel found her way into my bedroom to have a sleep. Now Rascal usually sleeps 70% of the day if my Dad isn't home (She loves him, and would follow him over a cliff). My Dad had left, and I was the only one home, and therefore, the next best thing to him. Rascal will usually just sleep outside the bathroom door, or she sleeps on her pillow 'till I am done, but today she ventured into my room and onto my bed. Its not uncommon for her to make a dog "nest" to sleep in. I will usually find a nicely rounded, flat section of my bed, that is covered in dog hair...but today I found her sleeping in this instead...

The Cave

Can't beat being a dog!

"Am I in trouble...?"

Not sure how she made her little "Dog Cave"...seeing how she doesn't have hands, and my duvet wasn't heaped into a ball when I got out of bed this morning, but she managed to make quite the napping area today! It was good for a smile anyway! Crazy old dog...
