New Gear!

Today I was up in Calgary and I got myself a bunch of new motorcycle gear! GW Cycle held a special sale today that was only open to Calgary Ground Pilots users that signed up for the sale. A buddy of mine told me about it, and we decided to head up early this morning.

We were third in line into the store, and I went to town!

Everything in the store was at least 25% off, and because I was already in the market for new gear, I was pumped!

I got my hands on new Alpinestars S-MX Plus Racing boots, Alpinestars RC-1 leather jacket, and Alpinestars Track leather pants!

I got a great deal on all the gear and I'm super happy with it! Can't wait to actually suit up and give it a try!

I already know what lid I want, as well as a nice pair of gauntlets! Maybe next payday...

POD - Satellite

This came on XM driving home from work today. Made me smile. Didn't remind me of anything specific... Just grade 8 and 9 in a nutshell. I'd roll back to those days in a heartbeat! Biggest problem I had then was if I was gonna get in trouble for not being home at 12. Anywhere I needed to go I could get to on my BMX. Didn't need a plan for the night, always just knew it would start on the GT. Pick up Kent, roll over to Jeremy's, then go pick up Mitch... Then ride around town for 5 or 6 hours. We'd find something de and/or con structive to keep us busy. We had fun! Miss those days.





PS: Jeremy, I don't have any pictures of you doing anything stupid... Does not add up...

This is a buddies hand who works with a company in town. He was working at a Canadian Tire Reno when he was set up into the rafters of the building to do some work. He touched a live 347 wire and this is the after math. Luckily he only lost one finger... Could have been more fingers, his whole hand, or his life. Just makes me realize who fucking dangerous this job can be...
