Friday night: Didn't leave the house. Sucked.
Saturday night: Went out, and it sucked.
I hate when the people you are with just bring everyone down, and ruin what could have been a good time.
Can't remember the last time I went out in this town and had an awesome time...
Something has got to change.

Need a Video Movie?
Ok, this just blew my fucking mind. HAHA.
I came across this video on College Humor. It is a promotional video of a couple who makes custom videos for other people... And it's absolutely ridiculous.
Awful. The whole thing is awful. Graphics, audio, animation, editing..."actors". Everything. It's crap. But the thing that blew me away was the end. They slowly start to scroll (in bright '1337' neon green letters) their website (www.fredandsharonsmovies.com) down the screen. So of course I want to check out what I can only imagine will be one of the greatest things I will ever see in my life time. However, when I get there, I am faced with "Pay here to access". That's right. They are gonna try and make you pay just to get the privilege to SEE their website.
1 CAD dollar will grace your presents with what I will assume can only be more stellar videos by Sharon and Fred...
I don't pay for any of the music, videos, software, or any of the other material I get off the internet, so why do Fred and Sharon think I am going to pay now? HAHA.
These people are stupid. Just stupid people. They remind me of idiots on American Idiot. The ones who think they are the best thing to walk the earth... And it probably all started with someone making a comment like "Oh, that is a neat video. You should start a company like this..."
... I can only laugh after seeing this.
And if you do decide to click the Pay to Access button, you'll find that you will have to pay every time you want a nifty custom video made...

Anyway, it just made me laugh. And hey, I'm sure they are nice people, and maybe now they make a damn good video. Gotta start somewhere right?
Rant over.

(Clever Title Here)
.
Ok I haven't been posted anything lately, and I have no good reason. I am just lazy... That's all. When I get home from work I eat supper, then usually just sit on the couch and watch TV, or a movie, or I occasionally head out and actually do something... and when I come downstairs to do a post or anything time consuming related to my computer, I just don't have the ambition, and It's just getting pathetic... It used to be something I very much enjoyed, but now it seems that because I am so exhausted, it feels like more of a chore. However I want this to change, and am going to try to do more of the techie things I used to do. Starting with the following:
- Post about Kelowna
- Post about Arena cross
- Maybe a quick note about Bon Jovi (yeah... that's old), and Big and Rich
- Post about of things I've been doing/buying/watching/listening to, etc.
- Format my computer (Again... things are not as they should be :S)
- Format my parents computer (Best to start from scratch with that thing...)
- Teach my Dad how to rip CD's and steal music and put that all onto his iPod
- Perhaps do a performance upgrade
- Get back into playing some online games (Fuck Xbox! PC FTW)
And this all has to be done before it gets nice enough to roll the RR out for riding season :D
So yeah, that's it. I know I've said it before, but I'm really going to try to stick to my guns and get back into my old past time.

Chris Love Cleverness
Hey, I just wanted to write a quick post after seeing something on a site I JUST visited. (Actually I'm still there... actually I never quite did what I was going to do at this site... That's how impressed I am right now. Wow... Now I don't think it's that big of a deal... and am wondering if I really need to blog about it. Oh well! I've come this far right!? HA! Right?!?! Uhh...So anyway...)
I pulled up The Pirates Bay just now to see if I could get my hands on the new Matches album, and before I got to searching for it I took notice to their image they had on their homepage. Brilliant I thinks! (See below)
I think it's hilarious! So clever and fresh. They know they are completely illegal and breaking every rule in the book. And do they care?! HA! Not a chance. In fact they taught those idiots at RIAA and MPAA. I can see one of those RIAA monkeys keying in The Pirates Bay and seeing this image and just having their blood boil! Genius!
Long live pirates! ARR!*

Who Wants A Mustache Ride?
This post has to do with me having a shear hatred for shaving, a contest at work, and the fact that I will do stupid things if I know It will get a laugh...
It started about a month ago. It was a Sunday night getting ready to head to bed. I had a shower, and I was shaving my face. When I was done I was thinking how much I hate shaving. Doesn't everyone?! It's time consuming, it's uncomfortable, and for me, It takes about 8 years off my outward appearance... So I told myself that I wasn't going to shave for awhile... I had nothing I needed to look decent for in the foreseeable future other than work and maybe going out on the weekend.
And so it begins...
I was about 2 weeks into not shaving, when one day at work myself and a few other guys were talking, and somehow we got on the topic of beards. This is when I piped up and said "I'm gonna wait a bit and shave mine into a mustache." This was more of just a random statement... BUT everyone laughed. HAHA! All of a sudden I had about 5 other buddies hopping on board! So we setup some ground rules and started down a nasty, greasy road.
We said that we'd wait 2 weeks to shave (Keep in mind that I've already not shaved in 2 weeks at this point...) and that on the last Friday we'd all shave our gross looking beards into mustaches and walk around all day, and go for lunch looking like idiots.
So "haha" beards and funny, mustaches are mega funny... whatever. By the 4th week of not shaving I was feeling pretty gross. SO gross in fact that It withheld me from going into society. HAHA. I was going to head to the mall one Saturday till I caught a glimpse myself in the mirror as I walked by... I promptly sat back down.
Ok, so now 2 more weeks go by, and it's Thursday night, and I'm pumped! I get to get rid of this thing on my face, and carve myself a nice greasy stache! But I had something else up my sleeve!
I shaved up nice, and headed to work the next morning and got a great response! HAHA. It was awesome. A couple of the guys left their beards, and some just didn't have anything to show. In the end only myself and other guy had anything really noticeable, but what we had was enough for everyone.
It was actually pretty fun. I looked like an idiot all day, but I knew everyone was jealous deep down...
Take a look...

Yeah Yeah Yeah!
Why I am posting at 9:30 on a Monday morning you ask? "But Chris, shouldn't you be working right now?!" you say?
NO! HAHA!
All last week we've heard about how cold it was going to be this week...but what we got was a lot colder than I thought it was going to be. I woke up this morning and looked at my thermometer and saw -31°, with a -45° wind chill. Luckily for me, I just bought new work boots, a new jacket and a couple pairs of wildly thick wool socks... Couple that with a full suit of Under Armour, 2 sweaters, and a pair of Carhartt insulated overalls... I was ready to roll!
However, upon arriving at the shop this morning, my boss had a different plan... And it was OK with me!
He tells us it's way too cold with the wind chill to be outside all day, and that a rough-in would be out of the question, because wire cannot be pulled in temperatures this low... the insulation would just crack and break.
So what does that mean?!
Snow Day baby!!! Woooooooo!
15 electricians smiling like they are 12 years old again in the coffee room. Hahaha... it was a great morning. And hopefully it's at least -25° tomorrow, so it'll all happen again!
I'm going to go waste away my free day off! :D
Have a good day!

Quick Note
.
Being deleted off Facebook is such a slap in the face. You know someone wants nothing to do with you, and does not care about a single thing you are doing when they delete you from their friend list. Cuts deep you know?!So the next time someone screws you over, delete them off Facebook. They'll get the point.
OR!
If someone has done nothing, but still somehow gets the sharp end of the stick, delete them anyway! It makes such good sense!

Something Corporate - I Woke Up In A Car
" ...and maybe I could live forever
if that ever I had known
that you'd be waiting there whenever I am all alone
but here I am
well I woke up in a car
I traced a way the fog
so I could see the Mississippi on her knees
I've never been so lost
I've never felt so much at home
please write my folks and throw away my keys..."
Great song. Have a listen.

Fuzz Buster
.
Alright, If you don't know me, or how I drive, I will fill you in. I drive fast. Often faster then the posted "Speed limit" (Pfft...) I wouldn't say I drive like an idiot, or recklessly, but it is usually over the speed limit. However I pride myself in my driving abilities and I know MY limit...Now I was good for about three and a half years, 'till one Friday afternoon a handsome man on a sexy motorcycle got busted going 150 KM/H while he left Lethbridge and got his first speed ticket...
I was mad about the ticket, but I got over it. I paid it (At the last minute mind you. I actually might have had a warrant out for my arrest on that one...Hmm) and went on my way. I slowed down for about 24 hours, but it was back to my old ways shortly after. Now, my "old ways" aren't crazy. Highway is usually a comfortable 120-130, and in the city it's usually 60-70. Not unheard of by any means...
Anyway, I'll get to the point of this post.
Last night I decided to go out and meet a couple buddies at a bar to hang out for a bit. It was pretty late. Around 11:30-12. I was going down Scenic Drive here in Lethbridge going "Recorded speed: 78 Km/h Speed Limit: 60 km/h". What do you think happens next?
All of a sudden I see a dark colored Crown Vic roll out from behind 2 parked cars and flip on his lame looking ghost car police lights...
Well Shit I say to myself as I pull over and onto the curb of the seemingly abandoned Scenic Drive South at midnight on a Saturday night...
"Going 78 in a 60. I need your license and proof of insurance now please." is the next thing I hear. So I give it to him... then sit for a good 25 to 30 minutes... Softly jamming to some SotY... Taking pictures of myself getting busted...
Finally he comes back. He asked why I was in a hurry. I tell him that I was on my way to the bar to pick up a friend who needed a ride (Complete bullshit I know, but maybe a way out I thought...?) Of course not... "Oh, well then... I got you going 78 in a 60 zone. You can plead guilty and pay... Blah blah"
Half an hour later and a $113 ticket in my hands I roll away... Slightly pissed off to say the least.
I was pissed! Like come on! It's Saturday night at midnight with no one around. Yes I know I was still speeding... but could he not have just pulled me over and tore me a new one for 10 minutes... Give me a break. It was just a piss off.
So what do you think I did as soon as I woke up this morning?
I roll down to Visions Electronics and buy myself a top-of-the-line radar detector! HAHA! Sure slowing down is cheaper, but just not getting caught is so much more fun!
So Chris will now will driving and riding sporting the Escort Passport 8500 X50 Radar and Laser detector!
"Hailed as the most revolutionary radar/laser detector ever. The Passport 8500 X50's new "V-Tuned" radar receiver provides extreme detection range on all police radar; conventional and "instant-on" radar, including the new POP mode radar threat, X-Band, and up to 50% more range than the original Passport 8500 on the all-important K and Ka bands. Digital signal processing (DSP) provides maximum range, with minimum false alarms."
Simply put, the X50 is one of the best consumer radar detectors you can buy. Read some reviews on this machine...
"The Passport 8500 may be the best detector ever made."
"With more sensitivity and range than Brand V, the Passport 8500 X50 is the only way to go."
"Escort's latest detector offers good performance and a long list of features."
This list of reviews is from valid and knowledgeable sources, so this thing better preform! And get me out of at least 3 or 4 tickets to pay for itself. Either way, I'm pretty excited about a new toy that I've wanted for awhile. Check it out...

Shut Up
.
"Students with higher grades usually experience more success in SAIT's programs."
This statement pissed me right off....
So if you get good grades and are smart, you'll do fine, but if you suck and are dumb you're a fucking idiot. Don't bother coming here.
End rant.
